The Electric Christmas Light Parade

The first Saturday in December, the town hosts a parade. This year , we were asked to be the family in the "living room" on our branch's float. It was snowing on and off all day but really started snowing that night. And it was cold.

The theme was Christmas in Candyland. So our float had a living room with a Christmas tree and fireplace on one side, These candyland men in the middle of a rotating table and the other side had a live nativity. Makes sense. :)

Getting ready to start the parade.

It was fun to see all the families lined up on the streets with their kids waving. Rachel waved and yelled Merry Christmas as did Tommy when he wasn't spontaneously singing Jingle Bells. He did lose it almost towards the end on the parade so he went to sit in the truck with the branch president's wife. I found it funny that we ended up being in a lot of peoples pictures.

I was disappointed not to be able to watch the parade with the kids. But I guess we'll make the new family be on the float next year while we watch from the side. Once we got to the plaza though, all the other floats were parked and we got to see some of the others.
