Fall in Las Vegas

Fall is my favorite season. I love the colors, the crunchy leaves underfoot. Especially in New Mexico, I love the sunlight that bathes the trees in a golden glow. It's different than summer or spring light. It's dimmer, I guess.

I drive Rachel to school and I love seeing all the autumn leaves. We mostly get yellow leaves. On occasion, we get red or orange leaves but the majority is red. I love walking in Old town with my feet brushing and stomping through the leaves.

After storytime at the bookstore, the kids playing in the leaves. I love being in a small, walkable town where such leaves are ready to be played in.

Crunching through the leaves with my new green shoes.

The next two pictures are of the Rio Gallinas that cut the town in half (East and West, as I mentioned before there used to be two cities) I love the leaves floating on the river.

The trees along the riverwalk near Old Town. We went for a walk one Saturday afternoon here.

So I always thought I was nuts for talking about the way the light is different in the fall. Well, you're not nuts, so we must just see the same thing. I love the way the light gets. It's so beautiful!

Glad you're enjoying fall in Las Vegas.
